A "Liberty" ship which was converted to a cannery as an emergency fix following the devasting 1964 earthquake - it has now been land locked & built on and is a major fish processing factory. Freezer trailers parked out front

A colony. Of sea lions - the Harbour Master developed an atrifical island within the harbour so the sea lions could have safe spot to snooze . It gives the tourists a chance to view them too!
